What You Will Need


Barramundi / seabass or fish of choice

1 teaspoon

of salt

100 gram

Cheffaro® Asam Fish Paste

30 ml

of room temperature water (depending on thickness of paste)


4-5 pieces

of okra

2-3 pieces

of tomatoes

Sweet and sour with just a bit of spiciness but still healthy and nutricious.

How To Make It

Asam Steamed Fish

1) Spread a layer of salt on the fish. Set aside and allow it to marinate.

2) In a wok, add Cheffaro® Asam Fish Paste with heated oil and fry till fragrant. Stir gently and let it boil. If the mixture is too thick, add in some water.

3) Pour the paste over the fish, add in okra and tomato then place it inside the wok with the boiled water and let it steam for 10 minutes.

4) Ready to serve.
